Replace your Native Checkout

Replace your native checkout page with Simpler Checkout

You can use Simpler Checkout as the main checkout page for your eShop. Shoppers who click Proceed to Checkout are taken straight to Simpler Checkout instead of your PrestaShop checkout page, and complete their purchase there. The order still lands in your PrestaShop back office exactly as it does today.

How to Enable It

Follow the installation guide as usual, then talk to your Simpler account manager — we enable the checkout takeover for your store from our side.

No module setting to switch on

Earlier versions of the module had a "Replace Native Checkout with Simpler" toggle on the configuration page. That toggle has been removed. The takeover is now controlled by Simpler, so there is nothing to enable in Module Manager and no need to update or re-install the module to turn it on or off.

Once we enable it, the change reaches your storefront within a few minutes. No deployment, cache clear, or code change is needed on your side.

Rolling It Out Gradually

Because the takeover is controlled from our side, it does not have to be all-or-nothing. We can send a share of your shoppers to Simpler Checkout while the rest continue through your native checkout, then compare how each group converts on real traffic.

That means you can start small, confirm the numbers on your own store, and increase the share once you're happy — rather than switching your entire checkout over on day one. Your account manager will agree the starting split with you and adjust it as the results come in.

Establish a baseline first

If you want conversion figures for your native checkout before any shoppers see Simpler, install the module and turn on Analytics Mode. It records exactly the same events with no Simpler button or redirect on your storefront, so the comparison afterwards is like for like.

What Shoppers See

  • Everything up to the cart stays on your store, with your theme and your content.
  • Clicking Proceed to Checkout takes them to Simpler Checkout, carrying their cart, currency, language, and any applied coupon.
  • After paying, they land back on your store's normal order confirmation page.

Shoppers not included in the rollout notice no change at all.

Turning It Off

Ask your account manager and we'll disable it — again, with no module change on your side.

Analytics Mode overrides the takeover

If Analytics Mode is switched on in the module, shoppers are never redirected to Simpler Checkout, whatever we have configured for your store. If you've asked us to enable the takeover and shoppers are still landing on your native checkout, check that setting first — it's in the Advanced card of the module configuration page.
