Analytics Mode

Analytics mode turns the module into a measurement-only integration. Every Simpler surface disappears from your storefront, while the analytics and reporting that power your Simpler Merchant Dashboard keep running.

This lets you instrument your store and collect a conversion baseline before — or without — exposing the Simpler checkout experience to shoppers.

Enabling Analytics Mode

Go to Admin > Modules > Module Manager > Simpler checkout > Configure, find the Advanced card, switch Analytics mode to Yes, and click Save.

The change takes effect immediately. No cache clear, no re-install, and your App ID and App Secret stay exactly as they are.

What Changes

The button is hidden in every position at once — including any hook you transplanted yourself via Button Styling & Positioning. You do not need to un-transplant anything, and nothing is lost: turning the setting back to No restores every position exactly as it was.

The SDK stays loaded

Analytics mode intentionally keeps the Simpler JavaScript SDK on the page so client-side measurement keeps working. The SDK renders nothing on its own — with no buttons on the page, it has no visible effect on your storefront.

What Keeps Working

  • Checkout and order events — Simpler still records when shoppers proceed to checkout and when orders are completed, so your dashboard keeps reporting conversion for your native checkout.
  • Order reporting — the module's reporting endpoint continues to serve order data.
  • Store diagnostics — the module still reports your PrestaShop, PHP, and module versions, which is what our support team uses to help you troubleshoot.

Because orders placed through your native checkout are still recorded, the numbers you see in the dashboard during Analytics mode are a genuine baseline for your store.

Turning It Off

Switch Analytics mode back to No and click Save. Buttons return to every position they occupied before, and the checkout redirect resumes.

Analytics mode overrides the checkout redirect

While Analytics mode is on, shoppers are never redirected to Simpler Checkout, even if Replace your Native Checkout has been enabled for your store. Analytics mode always wins. Turn it off before rolling out the Simpler checkout experience.

When to Use It

  • Measuring a baseline before launching Simpler, so you can compare like for like afterwards.
  • Pausing the shopper-facing experience during a campaign, a redesign, or a seasonal peak — without uninstalling the module or clearing your credentials.
  • Staging and pre-production stores that should report data but never show a checkout button.
Not sure which setting you need?

If you only want to hide the button on some pages, use Button Styling & Positioning instead — Analytics mode is all-or-nothing. Reach out at support@simpler.so and we'll help you pick the right setup.
