Bank Transfer

Bank Transfer lets shoppers place an order and pay it later by transferring the amount to your bank account.
Simpler shows your bank details at checkout and sends the order to your store as unpaid, so you can ship it once the money arrives.

You confirm the payment

Simpler doesn't check your bank account. Check that the transfer has arrived before you ship the order.

Enable Bank Transfer in the Simpler Dashboard

To enable Bank Transfer:

  1. Navigate to Simpler Dashboard → Settings → Payment Methods.
  2. Find Bank Transfer in the list and click Connect.
  3. Fill in your details:
    • Beneficiary Name: the account holder's name, as the shopper should type it in their bank.
    • IBAN: one or more accounts. Click Add IBAN to add more. The bank name is filled in from the IBAN.
    • Payment Method ID (optional): the ID of the bank transfer payment method in your store, so the order is recorded under it. For example bacs on WooCommerce or banktransfer on Magento.
  4. Save.

At checkout, the shopper sees the beneficiary name and your IBANs, with a note that the transfer must be made within three business days or the order will be cancelled.

Enable Bank Transfer on Your Store

Bank Transfer works with your store's own bank transfer payment method, so orders show up as unpaid bank transfer orders in your admin.
Below you can find what each platform needs:

  • WooCommerce: Supported Plugins. Uses the native Direct bank transfer method (bacs). Orders arrive On hold.
  • Magento 2: Supported Modules. Set the Payment Method ID to banktransfer so orders use the native Bank Transfer method.
  • PrestaShop: Supported Modules. The native Wire payment module (ps_wirepayment) must be installed. Orders arrive in its awaiting payment status.
  • Shopify: Supported. No app needed. Orders arrive with payment pending.
  • OpenCart: Not Supported
