Scalapay
Connect your Scalapay merchant account to Simpler
Scalapay is a Buy Now, Pay Later payment method. To offer it through Simpler you need an active Scalapay merchant account and its production API key.
Production access requires a signed agreement with Scalapay. You onboard with Scalapay directly, then connect the account to Simpler yourself.
Onboarding Process
-
Register with Scalapay: Sign up through Scalapay's onboarding form and select Simpler as your partner, so Scalapay knows your account comes through us.
-
Agree terms with Scalapay: You sign your merchant agreement directly with Scalapay. Once it is in place, Scalapay activates your merchant account.
-
Retrieve your API key: Scalapay emails you go-live instructions. Log in to the Scalapay Merchant Portal, open the Developer section, and copy your production API key (also called a merchant token).
-
Enable Scalapay in Simpler: In the Simpler merchant dashboard, go to Payment Methods, open the Scalapay settings, paste your API key, and save. If the key is valid it is stored and Scalapay becomes available at checkout.
Unlike some other payment methods, Scalapay issues your API key to you directly rather than to Simpler. You enter it yourself in step 4, and you can rotate it at any time from the Scalapay Merchant Portal.
